Marco Sbrosi

9:30 - 10:00 | Experimental analysis of Dynamic Rolling Radius of tyres at high speed in different working conditions

Marco Sbrosi | Product Development Engineer, Pirelli Spa

• Introduction: Project framework and target
• Physical analysis: Which parameters influence the tyre dynamic rolling circumference (DRC)?
• Experimental analysis: Empirical sensitivity of DRC to different working conditions.
• Regression analysis: Regression analysis between DRC and tyre’s constructive parameters.
• Concluding Remarks

Marco Sbrosi began his professional career at Pirelli Tyre s.p.a., where he has been working for four years. First he was a tyre modeling engineer for Formula 1 before moving to the ultra high performance sports car sector. He currently works for Experis Motorsport, where he is mainly responsible for vehicle dynamics lectures and driving simulator workshops.

Gianluca Quattromani

10:00 - 10.30 | Powertrain multibody modelling of front engine - RWD to analyse idle dynamic and NVH

Gianluca Quattromani | PhD Candidate, Politecnico di Milano

Gianluca Quattromani received his bachelor degree in 2012 in mechanical engineering. In the same subject area he received in 2015 his master degree. He currently holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Politecnico di Milano. His dissertation is the modelling and experimental testing of a vehicle driveline that aims to identify key parameters affecting idle noise.

Joachim Ecker

10:30 - 11:00 | Frontloaded e-AWD development with automated system optimization

Joachim Ecker | Project Manager, AVL List GmbH

• Market situation and challenges due to electrification
• E-AWD Powertrain specifics and development requirements
• E-AWD controller development process
• Detailed explanation of virtual controller concept development
• Visualization of optimized results

Joachim Ecker began his professional career in 1995 at Daimler Steyr in Graz in the Department of Vehicle Dynamics. He then spent ten years with Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik in Graz, where he worked first as a test engineer and then as a group leader for vehicle dynamics. He has been with AVL List GmbH since 2010. Before taking up his current position as Technical Expert "Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics", he was Project Manager and Lead Developer for seven years.
