In 2004, Dr. Walter Schmidt successfully completed his studies in "Technical Chemistry - Branch of Process Engineering" with a diploma and then spent 8 years in the working world. His employers included ELIN EBG Motoren GmbH, BOXMARK and Roche Diagnostics. In these companies Mr. Schmidt was able to gain experience in various research projects or in production engineering. Among other things he was head of the quality department at Platingtech for two years. He then took the opportunity to return to Graz University of Technology to successfully complete his doctoral studies in the field of Li-ion transport in solid electrolytes and battery anode materials in 2015. Since January 2016 he has been working for Samsung SDIBS, initially in pre-development, and currently in project support as cell and module manager for PHEV batteries from A-sample to series production.
